First Achieve Engineering are working with a well-established fabrication business based in Hertfordshire, who are looking to add an experienced Sheet Metal Worker to their expanding team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing, close-knit workshop environment where quality craftsmanship and teamwork are at the heart of everything they do.
The Role:
You will be working within a busy fabrication shop, manufacturing a wide range of components and assemblies. Your work will involve operating equipment such as press brake and guillotine machines, and producing parts in mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium.
Key responsibilities include:
- Reading and interpreting detailed in-house and customer engineering drawings.
- Fabricating components to tight tolerances using a variety of sheet metal processes.
- Working independently to problem-solve and meet production deadlines.
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe workspace.
- Collaborating effectively with a small, skilled team.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Proven experience in a sheet metal / fabrication workshop environment.
- Ability to read technical drawings and work to specification.
- Competent with press brake and guillotine machinery.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable, flexible, and capable of working under pressure.
Hours & Benefits:
- Full-Time: 35 hours per week (overtime available)
- Factory Hours: Monday - Thursday: 6:00am - 4:00pm, Friday: 6:00am - 12:00pm
- Pay: Β£14.00 - Β£16.00 per hour (depending on experience)
- Benefits: Company pension, Flexitime, Free on-site parking, Life insurance, Profit sharing
