We are supporting a leading geotechnical and ground investigation business in the appointment of a Senior Engineer. This role involves leading ground investigation projects, providing technical expertise, and supporting the development of junior engineers.
The Role
- Lead and manage ground investigation projects from start to completion.
- Provide technical guidance, training and mentorship to engineering staff.
- Ensure quality assurance across all site works, data collection and reporting.
- Support Health & Safety documentation including risk assessments and method statements.
- Collect and interpret geological and geotechnical data.
- Produce factual, GIR and interpretative reports to high standards.
- Assist with project scheduling, tender preparation and client communication.
About You
- Knowledge: Ground investigation techniques, soil mechanics, geology. Industry specifications, standards and contract documents (ICC GI, NEC3/4). CDM 2015 Regulations.
- Skills: Strong communication, organisation and leadership abilities. Confident decision-maker with excellent client management skills. High attention to quality and accuracy in reporting.
- Experience: Background in the ground investigation industry. Experience running projects and managing stakeholders. Strong report writing skills (factual, GIR, interpretative).
- Qualifications: Degree-level qualification in a relevant discipline.
Salary & Benefits
- c. £45,000 depending on experience
