Maintenance Electrician - Wastewater Treatment (Leven, Fife)
Circa £40,000 per annum + overtime (time & a half) 37 hours per week | Day shift | Monday-Friday
First Achieves engineering department are working with a well-established organisation within the water and wastewater sector who are seeking a Maintenance Electrician to join their site-based maintenance team at a Wastewater Treatment Works in Leven. This role offers a stable weekday schedule, strong earning potential through overtime, and the opportunity to work within critical national infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance on site
- Electrical fault finding and diagnostics
- Interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and O&M manuals
- Work with PLCs and star/delta starters
- Support mechanical fitters when required
- Assist in the development of apprentice engineers
- Contribute to a structured site maintenance regime
Essential experience
- Time-served electrician or HNC Equivalent qualification in Electrical engineering
- 18th Edition qualified
- Strong electrical fault-finding capability
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Flexible and proactive approach
- Wastewater / industrial maintenance experience preferred but not essential
- Comfortable working with heights and in confined spaces
- Physically fit, this is a hands on role
Desirable (but not essential)
- Safe isolation of electrical and mechanical equipment
- Training or awareness of LOLER, PUWER, DSEAR
- HV competency
