The Opportunity First Achieve Engineering is working with a growing engineering business to recruit a Mechanical Service Engineer to join its expanding Service Repair team.
This is a varied role, split between customer sites and the workshop, working on a wide range of HVAC, commercial and industrial equipment.
The role is predominantly focused on reactive breakdowns, servicing and repairs, offering plenty of variety and technical challenge.
Key Responsibilities Service, maintain and repair a wide range of pumping equipment, including: Submersible pumps Centrifugal pumps Progressive cavity pumps Air-operated diaphragm pumps Booster sets Pump stations Strip, inspect and assess pumps, electric motors and industrial fans.
Carry out mechanical fault finding, repairs and planned maintenance.
Install, set up and commission new equipment.
Undertake basic pipework modifications where required.
Complete site risk assessments and ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with current HSE legislation.
Produce accurate service reports and provide a high standard of customer service.
What We're Looking For Mechanical engineering qualification (Apprenticeship, SVQ/NVQ, HNC/HND or equivalent).
