First Achieve Engineering are recruiting Mechanical Labourers on behalf of a well-established engineering manufacturer specialising in bespoke electrical power distribution and control systems. Due to continued growth and a strong order book, our client is expanding their manufacturing team at their Clydebank facility. This role offers a great opportunity for someone with mechanical assembly or manufacturing experience to develop their career within a specialist engineering environment. The business operates a 4-day working week, meaning you'll enjoy a long weekend every week. The position is fully site-based within the manufacturing facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpreting engineering and manufacturing drawings
- Assisting with the assembly of electrical control panels
- Fitting copper components
- Installing door furniture and mechanical components (e.g. handles, fittings)
- Supporting the final assembly of panel work prior to dispatch
- Working in confined or restricted spaces when required
- Occasional UK-based site work
