Are you an experienced Mechanical Fitter looking to join a dynamic team? First Achieve are seeking a skilled professional to take on a hands-on role with responsibilities in mechanical assembly, testing, and fault-finding on advanced vacuum furnace systems for our client near North Lanarkshire. Key Responsibilities: * Mechanical Assembly and Testing: Work on water, pneumatic, vacuum, and gas systems within a vacuum furnace, including: * Building and connecting water manifolds, pump skids, and related interconnections using mild steel, stainless steel, and copper (brazing experience a plus). * Setting up pneumatic lines and installing vacuum pipelines and components with precision. * Running gas lines to various devices with high-quality workmanship. * Precision Assembly: Assemble intricate furnace components to the highest standards. * Fault Finding: Identify and troubleshoot issues in mechanical systems as needed. * Inspection and Testing: Inspect component parts and perform vacuum/pressure tests (training provided). * On-Site Repairs and Installations: Travel to customer sites to perform installations and repairs. Preferred Skills and Qualifications: * Experience with hydraulic circuits and basic welding skills is beneficial. * Able to read and interpret engineering drawings. * Forklift and MEWP (3a & 3b) certification, and confined space training is ideal. * Meticulous, adaptable, and willing to expand into new areas of expertise.
