First Achieve's Engineering Department is actively recruiting an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join our prestigious client in Livingston on a permanent basis.
About the RoleAs a Maintenance Electrician, you will be responsible for carrying out repairs and preventative maintenance to a high standard. You will respond promptly to plant breakdowns and use your fault-finding and problem-solving skills to resolve equipment failures. Your work will contribute to the continuous improvement of manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose and repair electrical faults using test equipment and hand tools.
- Perform electrical installations and planned preventative maintenance.
- Interpret technical documentation, including work instructions, technical drawings, and schematics.
- Ensure work is completed efficiently, safely, and to high standards.
- Collaborate with the maintenance and production teams to minimise downtime.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records using computer-based systems.
- Time-served Electrician with City & Guilds 2360, HNC, or equivalent qualification.
- Proven track record in fault finding and reading technical/electrical drawings.
- Experience in using test equipment and performing hands-on electrical repairs.
- Competent with electrical installations and scheduled maintenance work.
- Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
- Computer literate and able to manage basic digital records and systems.

- Competitive salary: £39,900 rising to £40,800 per annum.
- Flexible work pattern: Choose between weekday shift rotation or weekend-only work - whichever suits your lifestyle.
- No compulsory weekend working (unless preferred).
- Must be time-served with valid trade papers.
- Willing to work a 3-shift rotational pattern OR standard weekend hours (based on preference).
- Able to commute reliably to Livingston.
- Strong work ethic, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
