First Achieve's Engineering Division are recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a global manufacturing leader. This is a fantastic opportunity to secure a permanent role with excellent earning potential, long-term job security and genuine career progression.

Following a three-month training period on a rotating days/backs/nights shift pattern, you'll move onto a 4 on, 4 off continental shift pattern, increasing your salary to circa £46,000 - £48,000 per annum.

The Role

  • Carry out planned, preventative and reactive mechanical maintenance.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical faults across production equipment.
  • Support machinery installations and continuous improvement projects.
  • Help maximise plant reliability while minimising downtime.
  • Maintain high standards of health, safety and housekeeping.

What We’re Looking For

  • Time-served Mechanical Engineer or completed apprenticeship.
  • Experience within a manufacturing or industrial maintenance environment.
  • Strong mechanical fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
  • Flexible approach to shift working.
