We are recruiting an experienced CNC Machinist on behalf of our client, a well-established manufacturing company based in Livingston. This is a permanent role offering stability and career progression with a globally known company.
Shift Pattern (3-Week Rotation):
- Week 1: 6:00am - 2:00pm (12.20pm Friday)
- Week 2: 2:00pm - 10:00pm (12.20- 6.40pm Friday)
- Week 3: 10:00pm - 6:00am (6.40pm- 1am Friday)
We have opportunities for weekend only working if this is your preference.
Key responsibilities of the role:
- Setting and operating CNC machines (milling and/or turning)
- Loading programs and making tooling offsets
- Producing precision components to engineering drawings and specifications
- Carrying out quality inspections using measuring equipment
- Working to strict quality, safety and compliance standards
- Supporting continuous improvement within the machining department
Candidate Requirements:
- Time-served CNC Machinist OR equivalent HNC qualification in Engineering
- Proven experience in a CNC machining environment ideally 2 years minimum
- Ability to work a 3-shift rotating pattern
- Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Experience with CNC controls such as Fanuc or Heidenhain
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality
