First Achieve Engineering Recruitment are acting on behalf of our client, a well-established precision engineering company, to recruit an experienced CNC Miller to join their skilled manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality precision components while maintaining exceptional standards of accuracy and workmanship.
Salary: Up to £22.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Hours: Monday to Friday - Day Shift (39 hours per week)
Key Responsibilities
- Set, operate and programme CNC milling machines.
- Machine precision components to engineering drawings and customer specifications.
- Operate 4 and 5 axis CNC machining centres.
- Select appropriate tooling and machining methods.
- Carry out first-off and in-process inspections using measuring equipment.
- Ensure components meet quality standards and tight tolerances.
- Troubleshoot machining and tooling issues where required.
- Maintain a safe, clean and organised working environment.
- Work effectively to meet production deadlines.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience as a CNC Miller within a precision engineering environment.
- Experience setting and operating 4 and 5 axis CNC milling machines.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Experience working to fine tolerances.
- Competent using inspection equipment including micrometres.
