Join our team as a Forge Inspector, ensuring high-quality production and safe, efficient operations across our forge and machining areas.
What you'll do:
- Inspect forged components, dies, templates and machined parts.
- Support production by maintaining quality, accuracy and delivery standards.
- Rotate across inspection areas including Hot Forge, Marking Off, Pipe Shop, Die and Aircraft Template checking.
- Carry out numerical checks and use precision measuring tools.
- Set up jigs and fixtures for machining operations.
- Identify process improvements and support continuous improvement activities.
- Maintain high standards of health, safety and housekeeping, including audits, risk assessments and equipment checks.
- Complete daily forklift and crane checks.
- Work flexibly across shifts and departments to meet business needs.
- Support training activities and identify any personal development needs.
What you'll bring:
- Time-served engineer (HNC).
- Strong numerical ability.
- Knowledge of safe working practices and quality systems.
- Experience working as part of a team.
- Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring instruments (desirable).
