Job Description
JOB PURPOSE:
Delivering agreed sales and revenue targets across Global Markets’ products focusing on a segment of Global Markets’ clients (Banks and NonBank Financial Institutions) in the following geographies: Europe, UK & Americas
Main accountabilities and responsibilities include:
- Taking an entrepreneurial approach to drive:
- Establishing new client relationships with Financial Institutions for Global Markets
- Providing coverage of clients for flows in FX, Deposits and Credit from teams in the GCC for extended hours to UK and Western European time zones with scope to extend the product range in the future
- Working with Coverage teams locally and in head office to prepare business cases for Credit Risk and Commercial assessment
- Highlighting product improvements with clearly defined financial benefits and returns, with investment cases
- Developing strong internal relationships with the relevant Trading and Risk teams globally
- Ultimately delivering profitable and sustainable revenues for the UK entity and the broader Global Markets franchise
- Bringing fresh relationships to FAB, leveraging a a strong existing knowledge of the institutional client base in Europe is a must and Americas relationships are a benefit
- Taking ownership of and demonstrating proficiency in the full trade cycle
- Lead in pitches of our voice and electronic product offering, pricing, execution and settlement of trades strong presentation and communication skills

Relationship Development: Global Markets Sales:
As a member of the Global Markets Sales team, the candidate will be a strong team player with ability to deliver agreed sales and revenue targets across our businesses.
The candidate will be expected to identify and cultivate cross sell opportunities across the target client sectors (financial institutions and NBFIs) and geographies (UK, Europe & Americas),
Distribution & Coverage Scope: Global Market Sales:
As a member of the FI Flow Sales Team, the incumbent will be focused on selling Global Markets products to key FAB FI clients across financial institutions such as Banks, Private Banks, Central Banks, Official Institutions and NBFIs.
The incumbent is expected to have a strong understanding of the client’s requirements and is expected to provide a high-quality distribution service to these targets.

- Deep understanding of the specific dynamics and requirements of the Wealth segment and extensive connectivity with key private banks.
- A role model who can build long term partnerships that shape customer expectations, inspires others and exceeds customer expectations and provide value added services.
- Anticipates and identifies when a strategic shift in direction is critical to be competitive and is able to identify innovative solutions or refines solutions to recommend optimum course of action that adds most value.
- Critical understanding of pricing and trade process (Murex, Valuations, Modelling, etc) in order to expand and perfect our outreach.
- Takes a lead financial role in appraising and deciding upon large scale financial and commercial propositions that will impact the allocation of capital, resources and risk management.
- Seeks to promote the bank’s strategic global brand amongst a varied and sophisticated client base
- Creates positive culture in line with company values, display the strength of character and compass to inspire confidence, trust and loyalty in others
- Able to review own performance without bias and uses this to optimize performance and achieve longer term career aspirations
- Anticipates changes to sales and marketing strategies and approaches based upon a comprehensive understanding of marketplace trends, competition, compliance and suitability.
- Uses a wide range of MI and metrics to assess the performance of the entire portfolio, helping to formulate a plan that addresses challenges and gaps in budgets as well as targets for the year in a timely and periodic manner
- Full understanding of regulatory requirements, specifically MiFID II and EMIR, and cross-border rules, across relevant geographies
Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum Qualification
- Minimum degree in Accounting, Economics, Banking or Financial Management or equivalent, or proven relevant experience.
Minimum Experience
- 7-10 years of relevant experience.
- Highly organized and able to cope with multiple concurrent responsibilities.
- Understands risk valuation management control tools and performance measurements.
- Previous experience in a well-known International Bank is preferred.
- In-depth cross-product knowledge of credit and a proven track record with International customersCapable of understanding risk valuation and management control tools and performance measurements.
- Able to work cooperatively and productively with Risk/Legal/Compliance Department stakeholders to develop new businesses for the Financial Institutions.
- Ability to work cross border and in different languages; cognisant and respectful of all cultures and backgrounds.
