Description: Our client, a manufacturing company based in Orpington, who supply to mainly the pharmaceutical/medical market, is looking for a Shop Floor Mechanical /Assembly Technician to join their team.
Our client is seeking someone with mechanical, assembly skills, who is physically fit as the successful candidate will be involved in the build/assembly of large medical equipment.
Hours of work: Monday to Thursday 8 am to 5 pm & Friday 8 am to 1 pm. 23 days holiday plus Bank Holidays.
About the role
- Fabrications/assembly of steel framework through to the final stage of the build
- Install electrical chassis and connect wiring looms
- Installation of pneumatic assemblies and systems to meet operational specifications
- Read schematics, diagrams, and technical orders to determine methods
- Previous mechanical assembly technician experience
- Experience with brazing/soldering is an essential skill required for this role. Previous experience:
- Previous experience within an engineering environment
- Must have good mechanical skills and have experience using associated tools
- Experience with soldering and assembly of mechanical products
- Must be able to read technical drawings

- Able to plan, set, and meet deadlines
- Must be able to read technical drawings
- Work well on your own and as part of a team.
