An exciting position for an experienced Goods in Inspector has arisen with our long-established manufacturing client based in Sittingbourne. Our client has been established for over fifty years and operates in both the UK and Europe. They have grown from strength to strength and due to business demands are now recruiting for an experienced individual.

Location: Sittingbourne, Kent

Hours: 37.5 Hrs per week (Monday - Friday office hours)

Salary: Competitive

Overview of the Role: To manage all materials and consumables goods inwards inspection, ensuring that goods are of the right quality and match the material specifications.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Inspection of goods received to ensure all products are compliant with delivery notes and material certification
  • Review supplier delivery notes to ensure the mandatory information is detailed, to support with the efficient identification and booking in of parts
  • Conduct physical and dimensional checks of individual components to technical drawings in accordance with work instructions
  • Confirm material certification is compliant to the purchase order and requirements
  • Inspection and sign off of all sub-contracted machined parts
  • Record and report the outcome of quality inspections in the agreed time frames
  • Goods In booking activities on in-house ERP system
  • Issue parts to internal departments when required
  • To load outbound deliveries as and when required
  • Other duties as assigned by your Line Manager

Suitable Candidate:

  • Minimum two years’ experience in a quality control position
  • The suitable candidate will need to have experience using an ERP system with the goods in/out process
  • Previous warehouse experience with goods in and goods out
  • Must be able to read and access technical drawings
  • Preference will be given to candidates who have worked within international warehouses or have experience in the retail design industry or similar
