Firmin Recruit is an agency working on behalf of our established logistics and freight forwarding client with offices based in Aylesford and Favesham. Due to business growth, my client is recruiting for an experienced Logistics Coordinator with both UK and European freight experience to join their existing team. . My client now employs approaching 100 people in the UK. My client is a part of a significant worldwide transport and logistics operation. Hours: 9 am – 5.30 pm Monday – Friday Overtime is occasionally required during busy times Benefits: Parking, Pension, 23 days hol + B Hol The main purpose of the role is to oversee transport of goods from various client both UK and European from start to finish. Main Duties: * Arranging all aspects of shipment from collection, shipping, pre-alert, delivery, and invoicing. * Liaising with customers to establish requirements * Liaising with agents and suppliers to meet customer requirements * Ensure documents are completed and updated in a timely manner * Prepare, controls and distributes all required documentation to carriers, suppliers and complying with regulations and internal procedures * Invoice all shipments in a timely manner. * Completing all necessary domestic and export paperwork Suitable Candidate: * The suitable candidate will require a minimum of 2-3 years of UK and European freight/ logistics experience * Experience working in a busy, office environment- very hands-on role * Proficient with software packages, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook * Strong communication skills required and the ability to work as part of a team * Good people management skills * Great customer service skills * Due to the location of our client, the successful candidate will need to drive and have your car
