Firmin Recruit is excited to be working with our long-established manufacturing client based in the London, SE5 area. Due to business growth, our client is now recruiting for an experienced Press Operators/CNC Setters to join their friendly hard-working team. The role is working in the production/machining of metal parts for a variety of manufacturing clients throughout the UK and Europe.
The Role: The successful candidate will be responsible for setting and operating the Press Machine and other similar machinery to manufacture components for our internal assembly flow lines, ensuring the highest quality and timely delivery.
Duties:
- Set up the press with the correct tooling (dies, collar, blanks etc) to suit the spec of job required.
- Follow the correct production processes.
- Responsible for striking the correct number of components required from the works order.
- QC the completed work with the QC packing team to ensure the product is ready for dispatch.
- Carry out daily maintenance and cleaning of the press ready for the next order.
- Ensure Health & Safety is carried out and followed.
Suitable Candidate:
- Previous experience of setting and operating machinery is necessary.
- Competent in reading and understanding engineering drawings and able to inspect work using a range of measurement equipment.
- Preference will be given to candidates who have previous experience in CNC Milling or CNC Turning machine setter.
Hours: 8 am - 4.30 pm Monday - Friday with 2 x 15 minutes paid break and half hour unpaid.
