Firmin Recruit are pleased to be working with our established distribution company based in Aylesford, Kent. Our client has been established since 1975 and has offices worldwide. Due to business growth, my client is looking to recruit an experienced Inbound/Outbound Warehouse Operative to join their friendly team. The overall purpose of the role is to unload/load containers and trailers, pick and pack large pallet orders, and perform general warehouse duties.

Hours: 7 am - 3.30 pm or 8.30 am - 5 pm Monday - Friday (varies each week). Overtime is occasionally required.

Holidays: 29-day holiday including bank holidays. Parking, pension, sick pay full after first six months of employment, bonus scheme, overtime, uniform.

The Role:

  • To unload cargo from a shipping container (loose and palletised).
  • To palletise loose cartons for putting away into bays.
  • To move pallets in/out of warehouse locations.
  • To load ocean freight containers/trailers.
  • To receive and check inbound and outbound inventory.
  • To store and record stock with WMS System.

Suitable Candidate:

  • Previous warehouse and forklift experience with WMS Warehouse Management Systems.
  • Good Excel/office package skills.
  • eCommerce warehouse experience.
  • Forklift Counter-Balance experience and licence.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Good numeracy skills.
  • A 'can do'/positive attitude.
  • Flexibility - willing to work overtime when necessary.
  • Physically fit, as the role requires manual handling, container unloading, and some heavy lifting.
