Firmin Recruit is excited to be working with our long-established manufacturing client based in the London, SE5 area. Due to business growth, our client is now recruiting for an experienced Accountant/Accounts Assistant to join their friendly hard-working team.
Accountant/Accounts Assistant required for 20 hrs per week, preferably 4/5 mornings per week.
Main Duties:
- Raise sales invoices and credits to computer system.
- Allocation of payments to SI, chasing up remittance if not provided.
- Sending out statements and chasing payments.
- Following up customer queries which have been raised on invoices via company Sales dept.
- VAT Returns & monthly checks to ensure correct VAT codes have been used on Sales and Purchases.
- Quarterly accounts reporting.
Suitable Candidate:
- Minimum three years previous accounts experience; preference will be given to candidates who have completed their AAT exams.
- Good IT experience including Word and Excel.
- Good communication and administration skills.
- This role needs someone who can work on their own or as part of a team.
Hours: 20 Hours per week – Office based.
Salary: GBP 17.94 – GBP 20.51 per hour based on 20 hrs worked per week.
Benefits: 23 days holiday + bank holidays, Pension, Gym membership, etc.
