dsm-firmenich is recruiting for its prestigious four-year Apprenticeship programme on the Dalry site. The programme provides a mixture of on-the-job learning and academic study and is a fantastic opportunity for anyone wishing to kick-start a career in science, production technology and engineering.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Assisting with maintenance, fault finding, and repair of electrical systems
  • Supporting work on instrumentation and control systems
  • Learning how to interpret engineering drawings and schematics
  • Gaining experience with plant equipment, sensors, and control systems
  • Working safely in line with health, safety, and quality standards
  • Contributing to continuous improvement activities
  • Assisting in execution of safety, food safety and quality controls in adherence with site procedures

You bring:

  • Five passes at National 5 (including English), together with attainment or predicted to have attained two Higher qualifications by August 2026: one of which is to be Physics or Maths. Current and/or predicted Higher grades must be at level C or above.
  • Highly motivated, excellent communication skills, ability to work well in a team environment, demonstrate a talent for practical skills, and be prepared to make a positive contribution to the site.
