We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Milker to join our team on the farm. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the milking of dairy animals, ensuring their health and well-being while maintaining high standards of hygiene and productivity. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to operate various tools and equipment safely.
Duties
- Perform milking duties for dairy animals, ensuring proper techniques are used for animal comfort and milk quality.
- Maintain cleanliness of milking equipment and facilities, adhering to hygiene standards.
- Monitor the health of animals during milking, reporting any concerns to management.
- Use hand tools and power tools for equipment maintenance and repair as needed.
- Engage in basic maths for measuring feed.
- Participate in heavy lifting tasks associated with feed and equipment handling.
- Provide general animal care, including feeding and health checks.
- Maintain a safe working environment by following all safety protocols.
Requirements
- Previous experience in animal care or farming is preferred but not essential.
