Role Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and self-motivated Senior Business Development Manager to join our team! This exciting role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and you will play a pivotal role in overseeing Sales in Fire compliance, service contracts/sales/bids.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales and Business Development: Actively pursue new business opportunities within your assigned geographical area to expand the fire safety maintenance contract portfolio. Identify, target, and convert potential leads into long-term clients by leveraging your knowledge of fire safety services. Proactively engage with prospective clients, building a pipeline of opportunities through outbound activities such as cold calling, networking, and attending industry events. Manage sales cycles from initial inquiry to contract negotiation, ensuring deals are closed efficiently and effectively.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients to ensure ongoing business and repeat sales. Regularly engage with existing clients to ensure satisfaction, address concerns, and identify upselling or cross-selling opportunities. Act as the primary point of contact for all fire safety-related queries, ensuring clients receive exceptional service and advice regarding fire compliance.
  • Service Offering Expertise: Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of fire safety services, including fire extinguishers, fire alarms, passive fire protection, and full fire compliance packages. Advise clients on the importance of fire compliance and help them understand the benefits of your service offerings in meeting legal and safety standards. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices to offer informed recommendations to clients.
  • Target Achievement and Sales Performance: Consistently meet and exceed sales targets through a combination of proactive sales efforts and client management. Work closely with the sales team and management to align on target objectives, strategies, and performance metrics. Monitor and report on progress towards sales goals, adjusting tactics as necessary to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other teams within the organization to ensure a seamless customer experience, from initial contact to contract fulfilment. Participate in regular meetings to share insights, collaborate on strategies, and contribute to the overall success of the sales team. Share knowledge and best practices with team members to foster a supportive and growth-oriented environment.
  • Contract Management and Renewal: Oversee the preparation, negotiation, and management of service contracts, ensuring all terms and conditions are clearly understood by clients. Ensure timely renewal of contracts, aiming to retain clients and prevent loss of business. Manage contract compliance, ensuring services provided meet the specified requirements and deadlines.
  • Compliance and Documentation: Ensure all activities and documentation adhere to industry regulations, company policies, and legal requirements. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, client interactions, and contracts in the company's CRM system. Prepare and submit regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and competitor analysis.
  • Continuous Professional Development: Take initiative to continually develop knowledge of fire safety and compliance standards through training and professional development opportunities. Participate in company-led training sessions and industry seminars to stay ahead of emerging trends and technologies in the fire safety sector.
