The Role
Firetech (UK) Limited is seeking an experienced, commercially minded and motivated Head of Fire Doors to lead and grow our Fire Doors division. This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of a developing part of the business and help shape it into a highly professional, efficient and profitable department. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will play a key role in leading delivery, improving systems and procedures, supporting business development and driving the continued growth of our fire doors offering.
We are looking for someone with strong fire door knowledge, sound operational experience and a business-minded approach. We would also consider strong candidates currently operating at Contracts Manager level who are ready to step up into a broader leadership role.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop Firetech’s Fire Doors division, including inspections, installation, maintenance and remedial works
- Take responsibility for safe, compliant and profitable delivery across fire door projects
- Plan labour and resources to ensure projects are delivered on programme and to expected margins
- Oversee fire door surveys and inspections, ensuring reporting is accurate, clear and issued on time
- Ensure compliance with relevant fire door standards and any applicable third-party certification requirements
- Support the estimating team with technical input, scope clarity and tender reviews
- Help grow the department through client relationship building, tender support and identifying new opportunities
- Improve systems, procedures and reporting across the Fire Doors division.
About You
- Strong experience in fire door projects, including inspections, maintenance, remedial works and/or installation
- Experience managing projects, people, resources and delivery within a construction or passive fire protection environment
- Good commercial awareness and strong leadership capability
- Experience dealing directly with clients and building strong working relationships
- Strong organisational skills and confidence using digital systems for reporting and project management
- Full UK driving licence
