The Contracts Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of passive fire protection projects, ensuring the successful implementation of fire safety measures in compliance with industry standards and regulations. The Passive Fire Protection Contracts Manager will play a pivotal role in coordinating project teams, liaising with stakeholders, and delivering projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications / Work Experience

  • Evidence of experience in a Contracts Manager role.
  • Hold professional qualifications with The Institution of Fire Engineers, ASFP or equivalent.
  • Hold professional qualification in management and leadership.
  • Evidence of experience in Fire Safety.

  • Project Planning and Execution
    • Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budgetary considerations.
    • Coordinate the execution of passive fire protection projects from initiation to completion.
    • Ensure adherence to project specifications, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
  • Team Leadership and Collaboration
    • Lead and motivate project teams, providing clear direction and objectives.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, construction, and quality assurance, to achieve project goals.
    • Conduct regular team meetings to assess progress, address challenges, and ensure effective communication.
  • Client Engagement
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Manage client expectations, address inquiries, and provide regular project updates.
    • Ensure high levels of client satisfaction through the successful delivery of projects.
  • Quality Assurance
    • Oversee the implementation of passive fire protection systems, conducting regular inspections to ensure compliance with specifications.
    • Work closely with quality control teams to identify and address any issues that may impact project integrity.
  • Budget and Resource Management
    • Monitor project budgets and expenditures, ensuring financial objectives are met.
    • Optimise resource allocation to achieve project efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Health and Safety
    • In accordance with the provisions of the Health and Safety at Work (Guernsey) Regulations, you must take reasonable care not to endanger yourself or other persons whilst at work.
    • You must fully co-operate with the Company to enable it to comply with its legal duties.
    • You are required to work to the conditions which are clearly laid-out in the Firesafe, 'Health & Safety Policy' document 'Issue No. 01' (and any future revisions).
