The Role
We are seeking a motivated and talented Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, with experience in designing, building, and maintaining scalable data management systems within AWS. They will work closely with data architects, AI Engineers, and analysts to ensure system designs meet business requirements.

Job Requirements
Proven experience as a Data Engineer, with significant exposure to AWS environments

Extensive knowledge of AWS services related to data and analytics such as AWS Glue, AWS Redshift, S3, Athena, Kinesis, and DynamoDB

Extensive experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools

High levels of proficiency in SQL and scripting languages such as Python

Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment, and a passion for learning and innovation

Job Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data management systems within AWS
• Work closely with data architects, data scientists, and analysts to ensure system designs meet business requirements
• Develop processes for requirements gathering and data modeling
• Implement effective metrics and monitoring processes
• Collaborate with AWS Cloud Engineers for infrastructure requirements and optimisation
• Address and troubleshoot data-related problems in a timely manner
• Ensure systems meet business requirements and industry practices for data privacy and security
• Provide coaching, mentoring, and skills development to junior data engineers
