The Role

The Delivery Lead sits at the heart of the delivery function, coordinating and driving the execution of projects and change initiatives across the business while owning delivery relationships for a portfolio of strategic clients. Acting as the central point of connection across teams and clients, this role ensures the right people are engaged at the right time, maintains clear oversight of resource planning, and keeps initiatives moving forward efficiently. Working closely with Product, Engineering, Test, and business stakeholders, the Delivery Lead translates priorities into clear, credible delivery plans and ensures progress, risks, and outcomes are communicated effectively to clients and internal teams alike. The role combines strong delivery oversight with effective client account management, helping to align business needs, delivery capability, and customer expectations. This role also includes oversight of Delivery Managers, ensuring consistent delivery standards, strong execution across multiple workstreams, and a joined-up approach to delivery across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivery Coordination
    • Take ownership of delivering scoped initiatives from the Product team through to completion
    • Coordinate activities across teams to ensure work progresses in line with agreed timelines
    • Track progress, identify risks, and escalate issues where required
    • Champion and evolve delivery methodologies and best practices across teams, driving continuous improvement in delivery efficiency
  • Client + Account Management
    • Act as the primary delivery contact for a portfolio of strategic and key clients
    • Build strong, trusted relationships with client stakeholders
    • Ensure client priorities are understood, managed, and aligned with delivery plans and client budgets
    • Provide clear, proactive communication on progress, risks, and outcomes
  • QBRs + Client Engagement
    • Own the planning and delivery of Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) for key clients
    • Present delivery performance, roadmap updates, and upcoming changes to internal and external stakeholders
    • Ensure QBRs drive value-focused conversations and strengthen client relationships
  • Facilitation + Alignment
    • Bring together the right stakeholders (Product, Engineering, Test, and business teams) to drive progress on initiatives
    • Facilitate workshops, ceremonies, and delivery discussions to ensure clarity and alignment
    • Ensure actions are clearly defined, owned, and followed through
  • Cross-Team Collaboration
    • Work closely with Development and Test teams to ensure delivery is aligned, dependencies are managed, and quality is maintained
    • Provide delivery input into product roadmap planning and prioritisation
    • Support smooth handoffs between teams and phases of delivery
    • Ensure all parties understand scope, priorities, and timelines
  • Quality + Delivery Support
    • Promote a strong focus on quality by ensuring appropriate testing and validation activities are planned and completed
    • Support teams in identifying and resolving blockers that could impact delivery or quality
    • Ensure delivery follows agreed processes and standards
  • Delivery Manager Oversight
    • Line manage, coach and develop Delivery Managers across multiple workstreams
    • Ensure consistency in delivery approach, reporting, and stakeholder management
    • Support Delivery Managers in resolving escalations and driving progress
  • Communication + Reporting
    • Provide clear, regular updates on delivery progress, risks, and next steps (internally and externally)
    • Act as a central point of contact for delivery-related queries
    • Maintain visibility of timelines, dependencies, and key milestones

Skills + Experience

  • Essential Criteria
    • 3-5 years experience in a delivery, project management, or coordination role within a fast-paced technology environment
    • Experience managing client relationships, ideally with strategic or enterprise clients
    • Strong organisational and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams
    • Experience working with cross-functional teams, including Engineering and QA/Test
    • Comfortable facilitating discussions and influencing stakeholders at different levels
  • Desirable Criteria
    • Experience working with Jira
    • Experience supporting or managing Delivery Managers or similar roles is desirable
    • Knowledge of travel insurance industry
