The Content Creator & Social Media Manager is responsible for showcasing the creativity, craftsmanship and culture of Firecracker Works across all our social media platforms. Working closely with the Managing Director and production team, the role captures the story behind our work—from concept and fabrication through to installation and live events—creating engaging content that strengthens our brand, attracts new clients and supports recruitment. This is a hands-on creative role requiring regular travel to workshops, client sites and live events. The successful candidate will combine exceptional visual storytelling with strong social media expertise, helping position Firecracker Works as one of the industry's leading creative production companies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Content Creation
    • Capture high-quality photography and video across workshops, installations, client events and behind-the-scenes activities.
    • Plan and produce engaging content for LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and emerging platforms.
    • Create short-form and long-form video content.
    • Produce project case studies showcasing the design and build process.
    • Edit photography and video to a consistently high standard.
    • Maintain a well-organised digital media library.
  • Social Media Management
    • Develop and manage the company's social media calendar.
    • Publish engaging, high-quality content across all channels.
    • Write compelling captions and project stories.
    • Monitor engagement and respond appropriately to comments and messages.
    • Grow audience reach, engagement and follower numbers organically.
    • Identify opportunities to leverage trends while maintaining the Firecracker Works brand.
  • Brand Development
    • Ensure all content reflects Firecracker Works' values, creativity and quality.
    • Maintain visual consistency across all platforms.
    • Work with leadership to develop campaigns supporting business objectives.

  • Project Storytelling
    • Attend project installations across the UK and internationally where required.
    • Capture every stage of a project—from design through fabrication to completion.
    • Interview team members and clients where appropriate.
    • Produce engaging written case studies and project summaries.
  • Marketing Support
    • Assist with website updates and portfolio development.
    • Support award submissions with photography and supporting material.
    • Create marketing assets for presentations and proposals.
    • Develop content for email marketing campaigns.
    • Support internal communications.
  • Analytics & Performance
    • Monitor social media performance using platform analytics.
    • Report monthly on engagement, audience growth and campaign performance.
    • Identify successful content themes and optimise future content accordingly.
