Fireclay Primary Care is seeking an experienced nurse for its Minor Illness Team, working 24‑30 hours per week. Location: East Bristol, 2 purpose‑built buildings, servicing ~24,500 patients.
Job responsibilities:
- See patients presenting with undifferentiated or undiagnosed problems, using history, examination, and problem‑solving skills to establish a diagnosis and management plan.
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to meet patient needs.
- Contribute to additional clinical services as required.
- Participate in team meetings, audits and clinical governance activities.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and comprehensive patient records according to practice protocols.
- Undertake professional development, clinical supervision and annual appraisal.
- Support wider practice services such as immunisation programmes and health promotion events.
Person specification:
- Registered General Nurse (NMC) or an equivalent Registered HCP.
- Post‑registration qualification in Minor Illness / Minor Ailments or an equivalent qualification.
- Independent Prescribing qualification is desirable.
- Strong communication, clinical decision‑making and teamwork skills.
Disclosure and Barring Service Check: This post requires a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975.
