Firebrand, part of the BPP Education Group, is entering a period of accelerated growth driven by increasing demand for advanced technical skills, deeper vendor partnerships and a clear ambition to scale commercially across our technology portfolio. These two newly created Technology Solutions Director roles sit at the centre of that growth.
This is a rare opportunity to join at a point where strategy, investment and market demand align. You will have a real influence over vendor relationships, product direction and revenue outcomes, with visibility at senior leadership level.
The two new roles combined will be responsible for the following areas:
- Cyber Security
- Governance, Risk, Compliance & Audit
- Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning
- Project & Process Management
Therefore, applicants must have deep knowledge and industry experience in at least 2, preferably 3 of these areas. While closely aligned, each role will have its own vendor ecosystem, growth strategy and future course roadmap.
As Technology Solutions Director, you will be the commercial and technical authority for your technology domain. You will be trusted by global vendors, credible with clients and influential across sales, marketing and operations.
You will own strategic vendor partnerships, identify future revenue opportunities, shape new training propositions and ensure Firebrand remains a first choice provider as technology and skills demands evolve.
What you’ll be accountable for:
- Act as the senior relationship owner for key technology vendors and Partner / Training Programme Managers.
- Shape and negotiate partnership contracts, including pricing, volumes, KPIs and marketing development funds.
- Develop annual growth plans aligned to vendor roadmaps, market demand and total addressable opportunity.
- Ensure all vendor activity is commercially viable and aligned across sales, marketing and operations.
- Track, analyse, and report vendor performance, risks and opportunities at senior leadership level.
- Serve as the external figurehead and thought leader for your technology area (Cybersecurity or AI).
- Identify and realise new revenue streams by translating emerging technologies and client demand into scalable training solutions.
- Position Firebrand as a primary training partner through industry events, conferences, webinars and client engagement.
- Collaborate with marketing to deliver credible technical thought leadership.
- Leverage opportunities across the wider BPP group to maximise reach and commercial impact.
- Drive revenue growth through strong vendor alignment and disciplined commercial execution.
What you’ll bring:
- Technical credibility: You are recognised for your expertise in Cybersecurity or AI, built through industry experience or academic achievement.
- Strong familiarity with leading vendors and frameworks (e.g. Microsoft, AWS, ISC2, ISACA, CompTIA).
- Proven ability to translate complex technical capability into practical, market ready training solutions.
- Commercial & strategic capability: Experience operating in a senior role within technology, training or vendor led environments.
- Strong commercial acumen. Comfortable building business cases, forecasting revenue, margin and ROI.
- Confident negotiator, able to shape pricing, funding, discounts and sales targets.
- Experience managing complex vendor ecosystems and performance against agreed KPIs.
- Influence & leadership: Gravitas and credibility to influence vendors, clients, and senior internal stakeholders.
- Comfortable operating at executive level without formal line management responsibility.
Qualifications & skills:
- Relevant professional certifications strongly preferred.
- Strong analytical capability, including training needs analysis and portfolio gap assessment.
- Ability to manage multiple strategic workstreams in a fast-moving commercial environment.
