Role Overview
We are looking for an ambitious Head of Marketing to scale our strategy across local stores and national campaigns. You will drive brand awareness, customer acquisition, retention, and franchise growth through innovative marketing initiatives. You will lead a small, high-performing team and be hands-on across multiple initiatives, executing key campaigns while shaping long-term strategy. The ideal candidate is strategically minded with a solid understanding of commercial fundamentals, data-driven, and experienced in QSR marketing and digital platforms. You will optimise customer experiences, collaborate with other teams to leverage food trends and ensure marketing delivers measurable results. Key Responsibilities:
- Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with business goals and growth targets.
- Build and lead a high-performing marketing team, including in-house staff and external contractors (digital, content, creative, PR, and local marketing).
- Collaborate closely with Business Development Managers to drive local marketing initiatives that support store growth.
- Establish marketing KPIs, reporting frameworks and performance dashboards.
- Work closely with senior leadership to ensure marketing is aligned with operations, sales, franchise growth plans, and menu strategy.
- Apply commercial acumen to ensure all marketing spend drives maximum ROI and revenue growth, making every pound work hard.
- Brand & Creative
- Own and evolve the brand identity, positioning, and messaging.
- Lead creative development across campaigns, packaging, and store assets.
- Work closely with the menu team to drive creativity, innovation, and ensure food trends are factored into marketing planning.
- Ensure consistent brand standards across all touchpoints and locations.
- Manage brand partnerships, influencer collaborations, and strategic marketing alliances.
- Digital & Performance Marketing
- Manage the brand website and apps, ensuring seamless user experience (UI/UX) and integration with third-party platforms.
- Lead all digital marketing efforts, including paid social, search, display and email marketing campaigns.
- Oversee CRM and email marketing strategy to drive repeat sales and customer loyalty.
- Optimise customer acquisition cost (CAC) and lifetime value (LTV).
- Implement data-driven growth strategies and conversion rate optimisation initiatives.
- Aggregator & Partner Management
- Develop and implement strong strategies for all aggregator platforms to win with delivery and unlock profitable growth.
- Build a deep understanding of aggregator business models and operations to maximise revenue opportunities.
- Monitor aggregator performance, adjust campaigns and promotions, and implement strategies to improve ROI.
- Collaborate with internal teams and franchisees to align aggregator activity with local and national marketing plans.
- Customer Acquisition & Retention
- Build and execute customer acquisition strategies to drive footfall, delivery, and collection.
- Develop loyalty and retention programs to increase repeat purchase frequency.
- Create local marketing strategies and provide franchisees with campaigns, tools, and guidance.
- Collaborate with Business Development, Data, and Menu teams to segment stores and tailor marketing plans per store profile.
- Campaign Planning & Execution
- Plan and manage seasonal and promotional campaigns that deliver measurable results at both local and national levels.
- Coordinate marketing launches across all channels, including in-store, digital, and PR.
- Monitor performance and iterate quickly to maximise ROI.
- Stakeholder Management
- Work closely with Operations, Finance, and Supply Chain to ensure marketing activity is aligned with capacity and profitability.
- Support franchise marketing initiatives and provide guidance on local marketing execution.
- Manage external agencies and suppliers effectively to ensure quality, efficiency, and impact.
Experience & Skills
- Proven experience as a Head of Marketing or senior marketing role, ideally within QSR, pizza, or fast-casual brands.
- Strong track record in digital performance marketing, local marketing, brand building, and customer acquisition.
- Commercially savvy, able to make marketing spend deliver measurable ROI and drive sales growth.
- Strong understanding of aggregator platforms, their business models, and how to drive incremental sales through them.
- Strong understanding of multi‑location or franchise marketing.
- Experience managing a team in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Comfortable working hands-on while leading by example.
- Strong website and app literacy, capable of managing UX/UI and integrating third-party platforms.
- Excellent understanding of food trends and experience working closely with menu teams to integrate trends into marketing strategy.
- Data-driven mindset with strong analytical skills and experience using marketing analytics tools.
