Role Description
The Technical Specification Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in London.
This role is responsible for developing, maintaining, and managing detailed technical specifications for Fire Angel’s products and solutions, ensuring compliance with relevant standards, regulations, and customer requirements.
Day-to-day tasks include collaborating with engineering, product management, and sales teams to translate technical features into clear specifications, preparing documentation for tenders and proposals, and supporting housing providers and trade partners with accurate technical information.
The Technical Specification Manager will review and update specifications in line with product changes, conduct technical assessments, and provide guidance on best practices in home safety technology.
The role also involves supporting internal training on product specifications and contributing to continuous improvement of documentation processes.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in technical specification management, technical documentation, or product management within technology, Io T, or safety-related industries.
- Strong understanding of product standards, compliance, and regulatory requirements relevant to building safety, housing, or fire protection.
- Ability to interpret complex technical information and convert it into clear, accurate specifications and documentation for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working cross-functionally with engineering, sales, and customer support teams.
- Proficiency in common office and documentation tools (e. g., MS Office, collaborative documentation platforms) and basic data analysis skills.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Relevant degree or equivalent experience in engineering, technical disciplines, or a related field; experience in home safety, fire safety, or housing technology is an advantage.
- Comfortable working on-site in London and engaging directly with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders to address technical and specification-related queries.
