Job and Responsibilities:
Our Client is looking for a dynamic personal tax manager/ Tax senior to work alongside the Tax team. Assisting with advisory and compliance services for private clients and supporting other group companies.
Our trusted and specialist private client tax team works with individuals and their structures on some of the biggest financial decisions that they may face. The core of our work focuses on advising on the assets of an individual, family, or business, and assessing the opportunities available to them, minimizing their liability.
Key aspects of the role include:
- Act as account manager for a portfolio of clients.
- Take responsibility for the review process of all work regarding the client’s affairs.
- Liaise with the senior team members in connection with the management of your client portfolio to include the monitoring of billing targets.
- Provide advisory services to clients, as well as support on their compliance matters.
- Support the group companies with day-to-day tax enquiries.
- Support the development of more junior team members and assist as necessary with monitoring of work and progress being made and help to resolve any problems and difficulties being encountered.
- Be competent in all levels of personal tax (as far as is reasonably possible in today’s environment), where other teams in the Firm need to be involved with a client’s affairs to provide a holistic view and service.
- Develop new client relationships from your relationship with existing clients, from business contacts and other appropriate sources.
- Assist in the team’s initiatives in business development opportunities as required.
You are the right person for the role if you:
- ATT/CTA or ACCA or ACA qualified, or equivalent.
- Strong technical expertise in tax matters relating to private clients.
- Sound tax advisory knowledge. Owner-managed businesses and families covering IHT, CGT, Income Tax, and Company Tax issues is desirable but not essential.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Have the ability to review other people’s work and assess more junior team members.
- Good networking skills.
- Enjoy supporting and developing more junior team members.
- Have the ability to build great rapport and relationships with colleagues, team members, and clients.
- Are committed to expanding your personal tax knowledge and experience.
