Our client provides a wide range of services to businesses and individuals, mainly either in the London area or international businesses operating in the UK. The firm is well established and has been trading for nearly 25 years with 28 members of staff and has seen significant year on year growth.

About the Opportunity

This is a part time opportunity for a Payroll & Tax Administrator. The firm prides itself on a modern, forward looking approach and seeks an individual who shares the same positive outlook.

Responsibilities

  • End to end processing of payroll for client base
  • Managing HMRC RTI submissions
  • Managing and processing the payroll YE reporting
  • Handling payroll queries and processing starter, leaver and payroll changes
  • Calculation of deductions, benefits and statutory payments
  • Compliance to HMRC deadlines and payroll legislation
  • HMRC tax administration for the company's corporate and personal portfolio
  • Assisting the tax team with the personal tax portfolio [basic admin to preparation of basic tax returns as requested and required]
  • Assisting with the monthly billing for the Tax team.
  • Other duties as required and instructed by the Tax Manager and Tax Director

Applicant

  • Have good teamwork and communication skills
  • Be adaptable and flexible to meet the needs of clients and directors
  • Have excellent organisational and problem solving skills
  • Have 1-2 years' experience within a payroll or tax administrator role
  • Have 3 A-Levels with grade BBB or equivalent
  • Be a graduate with at least a grade of 2:2 in any field of study
  • Expected to communicate with clients directly, excellent spoken and written English skills are required
  • A professional, enthusiastic and responsible approach is required, as well as being able to demonstrate the ability to work independently
  • Role includes requirement to carry out research and review complex legislation at times, therefore an eye for detail is also important
