Fire is growing its UK presence and is looking to add a Business Development Representative to its London team. This role plays a key part in developing new client relationships and supporting Fire’s continued growth in the UK market. We are looking for a payments-focused sales professional who can identify new opportunities, manage complex sales cycles, and build long-term relationships with clients across the UK payments ecosystem. The role contributes directly to the evolution of Fire’s payments offering and go-to-market approach. The successful candidate will bring strong organisation, solid payments knowledge, and a professional, relationship-led approach to sales.

Fire provides businesses with access to a range of payment services, including accounts, bank transfers, debit cards, foreign exchange, and open banking payments. Through our platform and licences, we deliver solutions that automate payment processing and make reconciliation easier, more cost-effective, and secure. Fire positions itself as the complete solution for integrated payments. We work with technology-focused start-ups, scale-ups, corporate businesses, and some of Europe’s largest financial institutions, delivering highly integrated, high-volume payment processes and embedded services.
Responsibilities - what is the role?
- Identify and manage new sales opportunities.
- Prospecting for new clients and building a strong sales pipeline.
- Qualifying leads and opportunities.
- Progressing opportunities through a structured pipeline.
- Maintaining high-quality engagement and touchpoint management.
- Winning new business and meeting revenue targets.
- Attending relevant industry events.
You will report to the Business Development Manager and work closely with the CEO, while also collaborating with the marketing and product teams. You will be expected to actively contribute to Fire’s go-to-market planning and develop a strong understanding of Fire’s payment solutions and technical capabilities.
Experience - what should you have?
- A strong interest in payments and consultative sales.
- At least two years’ experience in a payments sales role.
- An established network across the payments industry.
- A self-starter with a strong sense of ownership.
- Ability to understand complex products and a desire to continue developing technical knowledge.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
- Confidence engaging with prospective clients at a senior professional level.
Fire is a fast-growing, established fintech with offices in Dublin and London.
