GAUCHO are looking for an experienced Commis Chef to work in our GAUCHO Glasgow restaurants! You will need to have experience working in a fast-paced, busy kitchen, and be keen to grow within the kitchen. Our Commis Chef will be passionate about food and hospitality, and will be able to deliver high-quality dishes according to a spec. This is an exciting opportunity to join a GAUCHO kitchen where you will have the opportunity to develop and grow.

Key Responsibilities of the GAUCHO Commis Chef:

  • Basic understanding of the brand and cookery skills required.
  • Service of food to assigned task standards.
  • To ensure the mise en place is performed to the high standard required at all times.
  • To sustain high presentation & correct positioning and cooking of food at all times with guidance from senior chefs.
  • To maintain the highest standard of cleanliness and upkeep of equipment.
  • To ensure daily, weekly and monthly cleaning duties are carried out as instructed by senior chefs.
  • To contribute to the building of the team and efficient team spirit and an active interest in employee’s welfare, safety and development.
  • To help and maintain a maximum yield in the kitchen in relation to the gross profit and wastage.

Requirements for GAUCHO Commis Chef:

  • Previous experience working in a busy kitchen.
  • Have a genuine passion for food and cooking.
  • Enjoys working in a busy and professional kitchen.
