As an Assistant General Manager at Gaucho, you’ll play a key role in leading the restaurant and delivering a successful operation across our people, guests, product and financial performance.

Working closely with the General Manager, you’ll help create a high-performing culture, develop both the front and back-of-house teams and ensure every guest receives an experience they’ll want to repeat.

What will you be doing?

Working alongside the General Manager, you’ll help lead the day-to-day operation, creating memorable guest experiences while delivering strong commercial results.

  • Lead, coach and develop the front and back-of-house teams
  • Take ownership of delegated P&L lines, budgets, sales, wages and forecasting
  • Drive sales and maximise covers without compromising the guest experience
  • Recruit and retain great people while supporting their development and progression
  • Plan staffing levels around trading patterns and business needs
  • Deliver engaging team briefs, training and performance objectives
  • Maintain excellent operational, food safety, licensing and health and safety standards

What are we looking for?

  • Management experience in a high-volume restaurant or premium hospitality environment
  • Strong commercial awareness and experience managing budgets and P&L lines
  • A proven ability to lead, coach and develop a team
  • A genuine commitment to exceptional hospitality
  • An organised, positive and hands-on leadership style
  • Strong communication and decision-making skills
  • WSET Level 2 is desirable but not essential
