We are a specialist Fire Risk business carrying out Fire Risk Assessments, Fire Strategies, Fire Safety Training, Evacuation Drills and provision of documents such as PEEPs and GEEPs for clients across a range of premises and industries. This role requires someone who is highly conscientious, comfortable working alone and happy to travel to different sites each day. You will often be in situations where you have to interpret detailed technical information or standards and then explain your findings or recommendations clearly to clients, both verbally and via detailed reports complying with fire safety legislation. This is not a general health and safety role; we specialise only in fire related issues. It is also not suited to people who cannot take on the responsibilities for people's lives.

What the role involves:

  • Travelling to different client sites each day to carry out fire risk assessments and other tasks.
  • Inspecting premises methodically and recording findings accurately.
  • Reading British Standards and other guidance documents to keep themselves up to date with the current legislation.
  • Producing detailed and thorough written documents and reports.
  • Working alone though supported by other team members and with access to all relevant fire safety legislation.

What we are looking for:

  • Strong attention to detail with a desire to get the client the right answer.
  • A pride in getting work completed correctly and on time.
  • Good reading and writing ability.
  • People who come prepared. This means thinking ahead, doing the necessary groundwork, asking sensible questions early, and making sure they are ready to carry out their work properly rather than reacting at the last minute.
  • People who can work independently, but who also exercise good judgement. This means being able to solve problems, make decisions, and keep work moving without constant supervision, while knowing when to ask for advice rather than guessing.
