The Role

We\'re expanding our network of Fire Door Inspectors to deliver detailed fire door surveys and inspections across residential and commercial buildings. You\'ll assess the condition, compliance, and functionality of fire doors, identify non-conformities, and upload your findings directly through the Certie platform.

Responsibilities

● Conduct comprehensive fire door inspections in line with BS 8214, BS 9999, and Building Regulations (Approved Document B).

● Inspect door assemblies, frames, ironmongery, seals, and signage for compliance and condition.

● Prepare clear, evidence-based inspection reports with photographic records and recommendations.

● Advise clients on remedial actions and ongoing maintenance requirements.

● Maintain professionalism, accuracy, and excellent client communication on every job.

Requirements

● FDIS Fire Door Inspector qualification (or equivalent recognised certification).

● Proven experience conducting fire door surveys and inspections in residential and/or commercial settings.

● Strong understanding of relevant British Standards and fire safety legislation.

● Excellent written communication and attention to detail.

● Professional indemnity and public liability insurance.

● Own inspection tools, smartphone/tablet, and transport.
