Our client, a prestigious members' club and events venue near Fareham, Hampshire, is looking for an Events Operations Supervisor to join their busy operations team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a stunning venue, delivering weddings, corporate events, and member functions while leading a dedicated front-of-house team.
The Role
As Events Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of a wide range of events, ensuring exceptional service standards are maintained at all times. You will play a hands-on role in all aspects of event operations, from set-up through to service and event close-down.
Key duties include:
- Supervising and motivating the events operations team
- Leading front-of-house operations during weddings, private functions, and corporate events
- Coordinating event set-up and ensuring function rooms are prepared to a high standard
- Delivering food and beverage service, including bar operations
- Acting as a key point of contact during events and resolving any issues professionally
- Training and supporting team members to deliver outstanding customer service
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety procedures
- Working closely with other departments to ensure seamless event delivery
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience within events, hospitality, weddings, banqueting, conferencing, hotels, or a similar environment
- Bar and waiting experience within a busy events operation
- Previous supervisory experience within hospitality or events
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent organisational and communication abilities
- A proactive, hands-on approach to work
- A passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences
Hours
- 40 hours per week
- Straight shifts
Salary & Benefits
- £28,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience
