We are seeking a Business Development Executive with one to two years of sales experience in the payments sector to join our London team. Fire provides businesses with access to a range of payment services, including accounts, bank transfers, debit cards, FX, and open banking payments. With our platform and licences, we deliver solutions that automate payment processing, make reconciliation easier, more cost-effective and secure.
We position ourselves as the complete solution for integrated payments. We work with tech-focused startups, scaleups, corporate businesses, and some of Europe's largest financial institutions. We deliver highly integrated, high volume payment processes and embedded services that bring innovation and payments automation to reality.
The candidate should have one to two years sales experience in the payments sector. They will display great organisation, payments knowledge, and have excellent interpersonal skills. Reporting to the CEO, the successful candidate will lead the UK sales function.
Responsibilities – what is the role?
- Find and manage new sales opportunities.
- Prospect for new clients and build a strong sales pipeline.
- Qualify all leads and opportunities.
- Progress opportunities via a structured pipeline.
- Operate with the highest quality engagement and touch point management.
- Win new business and meet revenue targets.
This is a great opportunity to impact the success of Fire and to play a key role in the growth of the business. You will report to the Business Development Manager, and work closely with the CEO, whilst also collaborating with the marketing, product and customer success teams. You will be expected to actively contribute to the Go to Market plan and should have sound technical and payment solutions knowledge.
Experience – what should you have?
- Passionate about payments and selling.
- At least 3/5 years' experience of selling in payments.
- An extensive network of connections across the payments industry.
- A self-starter and assured in your decision making.
- A strong communicator and an expert in explaining complex concepts.
- Confident creating the highest quality engagement with prospective clients.
You will be joining a fast-growing established fintech business with offices in Dublin and London. You will have the opportunity to learn, develop and make an impact. In addition to offering a competitive salary and commission scheme we will provide you with a great place to work, engage and take responsibility for delivering compelling financial services products. This is a hybrid role with three days per week based at our offices in Shoreditch, London.
