22.5hrs per week – Jubilee House, Penrith Cumbria

Monday – Wednesday, 8.30 – 4.30

£18,953.40 per annum (£31,589 FTE)

About us

The Fire Fighters Charity supports the health and wellbeing needs of the Fire Services Community and offers a broad range of services tailored to meet individual need. The Charity is there to support the UK fire family at different times during their lives, supporting not only the workforce but also retired personnel and their dependants.

Working alongside your colleagues you will provide short-term wellbeing support to members of the Fire and Rescue Service Community through face-to-face interventions (individual and group format), telephone and web-based interactions.

About you

  • Have experience of working in a mental health / wellbeing support / social prescribing environment (e.g. IAPT Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner) with a knowledge of mind/body connection.
  • Hold a qualification in Health and Social Care, Counselling, Health Coaching or equivalent at level 3 or above.
  • Hold a professional registration with live membership where applicable.
  • Have excellent administrative, organisational, problem solving and planning skills.
  • Have confidence in delivering wellbeing support face to face and virtually.
  • Be able to effectively communicate with a wide range of people.
