Security Surveyor / Project Engineer/ Senior Engineer - Integrated Security Systems

London & South East£55,000 - £65,000 Basic + Bonus + Car/Travel Allowance + Benefits

Fire & Security Careers are recruiting on behalf of a leading Integrated Security Systems Installer seeking an experienced Technical Surveyor / Presales Estimator to check what work needs to be done and price projects and possible work in London. Could be a good role for a Senior or Project Engineer looking to gt off the tools from major Fault finding and Commissioning and do Surveys/ Design.

This is a key customer-facing role responsible for surveying sites, designing integrated security solutions and ensuring projects are accurately priced before installation. The successful candidate will ensure that all cabling, containment, equipment, labour and installation requirements are identified and included within quotations to protect project profitability and ensure successful delivery.

The role would suit an experienced Integrated Security Engineer (looking to get off the tools), Security Systems Estimator who does site surveys, Technical Security Surveyor, Integrated Systems Designer with hands on experience, Pre-Sales Engineer or Security Sales Surveyor with a strong technical understanding of enterprise-level security systems/ CCTV and Access Control.

Key Responsibilities for Security Surveyor role -

  • Conduct detailed site surveys and customer meetings to price, design and estimate - equipment, systems, labour, etc.
  • Assess project requirements and identify all installation, cabling and containment needs.
  • Design and cost integrated security solutions.
  • Produce accurate quotations, estimates and technical proposals.
  • Ensure labour, equipment and infrastructure costs are fully captured.
  • Liaise with customers, operations and project delivery teams.

Required Experience - Technical Security systems so can price work/ projects.

  • Strong knowledge of integrated security systems, such as Milestone, Gallagher, ACT, Lenel, Avigilon, etc
  • Experience with Enterprise CCTV and Multi-Door Access Control.
  • Experience surveying, designing or pricing security projects.
  • Understanding of cabling infrastructure, containment and installation requirements.
  • Experience working on larger sites such as Universities, Hospitals
  • Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.
