We are looking to recruit a motivated and reliable Medical Secretary to join our friendly and supportive General Practice team. This is a key administrative role within the practice, supporting clinicians and ensuring that patient correspondence and documentation are managed efficiently and accurately. We are looking either for one full time staff member or job share between two.

Main duties of the job:

  • Processing incoming and outgoing clinical correspondence
  • Audio/copy typing of letters, reports, and referrals
  • Managing patient records and ensuring accurate data entry
  • Liaising with hospitals, community services, and other healthcare providers
  • Supporting clinicians with administrative tasks
  • Handling confidential information in line with GDPR requirements

About us:

Firdale Medical Centre is a member of Northwich Primary Care Network. We currently look after almost 11500 patients as well as mentor and support one of the local nursing homes. The practice is led by three GP partners, and we employ 6 salaried doctors. To complete the clinical team we have two nurses, health care assistant, a pharmacist, pharmacy technician and two Musculo-skeletal (MSK) specialists. We are also a teaching practice supporting foundation and specialty doctors. We like to think there is more to work than roles and responsibilities and it is essential for everyone to feel a part of the team and able to contribute to the services we provide.
