FinXL is currently leading a high-stakes, end-to-end data migration program for a major enterprise client. We are moving away from the traditional "hands-off" architecture model to a delivery-centric framework. As we enter the next critical phase of execution, we require a Solution Architecture Lead to join our dedicated project squad. This is a mandate for a practitioner who operates at the intersection of strategic design and technical rigor, ensuring that architectural blueprints are not just theoretical, but production-ready.
Joining a high-performing FinXL delivery team, you will hold the design authority for complex migration workstreams. Your focus will be on bridging the gap between high-level strategy and engineering execution. You will be responsible for authoring comprehensive Solution Design Documents and driving Canonical Data Modelling in erwin, while maintaining a hands-on presence within the AWS (Glue/Lambda/ECS) and dbt ecosystem.
A key component of this role involves stakeholder navigation; you will be expected to present and defend architectural choices to Governance Boards (ARB), ensuring that technical trade-offs are articulated clearly and aligned with broader program milestones. We are seeking an architect with a "lead-by-doing" ethos and a proven track record in large-scale data migration programs.
You should possess:
- Advanced proficiency in AWS data services and Python/SQL.
- Deep experience in dbt and modern data transformation workflows.
- Genuine capability in logical and physical data modelling using erwin.
- The professional maturity to drive alignment between engineering teams and senior business stakeholders.
Why FinXL? This is an invitation to join a structured, expert-led program where technical depth is as highly valued as architectural vision. We focus on delivering stable, scalable ecosystems and real-world outcomes. This engagement is open to candidates based in Sydney, Newcastle, or Melbourne, with a requirement for project-based travel to maintain team alignment.
