We are looking for ambitious graduates to help us protect the integrity of the financial services industry. Each year, we welcome a group of highly motivated, talented graduates to join our offices in Derry-Londonderry and Letterkenny. As a participant in the programme, you will be joining other graduates to learn about FinTrU's business operations within the financial services sector, complemented by professional soft skills training.
Throughout the programme, you will collaborate with top Global Financial Institutions and receive first-rate training from industry-leading specialists. In your role as a financial service analyst, you will train for the CISI Investment Operations Certificate (IOC) - a globally acknowledged qualification that offers a comprehensive introduction to the financial services industry. - What attracted you to FinTrU? What I saw first was the open culture and its commitment to diversity through its committees. It was also the chance to work in financial crime in my local area, which was an opportunity I didn’t want to miss - financial crime was one of my biggest interests at university.
- What do you enjoy about the day-to-day work? The people make the job. Everyone is open minded and friendly - very easy to talk to. Then there are the learning opportunities through exams and courses. There is always an opportunity to learn, even if it’s not part of your day-to-day work. The Learning & Development team have so many different avenues available to strengthen your skills and knowledge which also gives you the opportunity to transition into different projects.
- Your highlights so far? My personal and professional development has been the highlight of working at FinTrU. Plus, working locally, it’s very good for networking professionally and socially. Managers are all for pushing you out of your comfort zone and this has really built my confidence and skills in different areas too.
- Can you sum it up in three words? Educational, inspiring and gratifying.
Portugal’s second city is also home to FinTrU’s Porto office. Each year the cohorts from our Graduate Programme spend a few days in the city as part of their initial training. While our high standard of training continues in the city, the stay with our Portuguese colleagues is a fantastic way to forge strong bonds with your new colleagues. You will also get to visit some of the amazing locations around the city and experience the vibrant nightlife.
