FinTrU is seeking a detail-oriented and commercially minded Assistant Accountant to join our global finance team on a 12 month fixed term basis. This role is ideal for a professional with experience in an industry setting, looking to expand their impact across commercial operations and project-based financial management. This position involves preparing key commercial reports, providing financial insights and analysis whilst partnering with the business to drive continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to day-to-day accounting operations in support of accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash and bank and general ledger processes.
- Support financial planning and analysis for commercial initiatives and projects.
- Collaborate across departments and systems to prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports with commentary on variances and trends.
- Monitor and report on key financial metrics and performance indicators.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the Finance function.
- Part Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA).
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within a commercial environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience working under pressure to meet robust deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience and proficiency using an ERP financial system.
- Experience with process improvement initiatives.
- Experience and proficiency using Microsoft Dynamics.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.
