Backed by private equity, the business is transitioning from a founder-led model to a scalable, system-driven organisation with a current turnover of £12m, targeting rapid growth to £25m+.
We are seeking a CEO to lead the next chapter of growth, culture, and operational excellence. You will be the principal architect of strategy, leadership, and performance, shaping a company that is scalable, profitable, and exit-ready.
Key Objectives:- Drive targeted, profitable growth in Defence, Government, and critical infrastructure.
- Build and align a high-performing leadership team across design, engineering, delivery, compliance, and business development.
- Establish institutional-grade operating rhythms, KPIs, and performance management systems.
- Modernise workflows using digital tools, data, and AI to improve speed, quality, and assurance.
- Prepare the business for a high-quality exit, building credibility with potential buyers or investors.
- Revenue growth: Grow revenue from £12m to £18m+ in 24 months, path to £25m+ in 36 months.
- EBITDA: £2.4m+ to £3.6m+
- Maintain or improve margins and secure infrastructure focus.
- P&L leadership of a £10–50m project-based business (CEO, MD, or divisional lead).
- Deep experience in secure, government, or critical infrastructure sectors.
- Track record of leading design, engineering, and build operations with accountability for delivery and risk.
- Proven ability to shape and elevate senior teams.
- Credibility with senior clients and partners.
- PE-backed business experience.
- Digital, data, or AI-enabled operational improvements.
- Defence/national security exposure.
- M&A, sale, or corporate transaction experience.
