A leading, quantitative-driven electronic trading firm is seeking an Operations Manager to take ownership of operational stability across clients, trading, and technology teams. This is a growth-focused role designed for a high-potential operator who wants to evolve into a Head of Operations–level position. The environment is flat, fast-moving, and impact-driven.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage complex operational issues across trading, technology, and clients
- Act as the link between technical teams and business stakeholders
- Communicate technical issues clearly with commercial awareness
- Prioritise and resolve issues based on business impact
- Investigate system and trade issues using data and logs
- Improve processes through automation and efficiency initiatives
Essential Requirements
- Prior experience in a trading, market-making, or electronic trading environment (FX, Equities, Crypto, or similar)
- Strong understanding of: Trade lifecycle, Order types, FIX connectivity, Fills vs rejects
- Comfortable working in technical environments: SQL, Linux / command line
- Data analysis using Excel or Python (basic–intermediate)
- Ability to investigate problems independently, not just escalate
- Client-facing experience resolving execution or system-related issues
Technology Environment
- Linux-first infrastructure
- Cloud-based systems (AWS)
- Large-scale data environments
- High-performance trading systems (C++ / Java)
- Python used for analysis and investigation
