Fintelligent is partnering with a leading international law firm to recruit a Mid-Level Associate into its London IP & Technology Transactions practice, with a strong focus on the life sciences sector. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong and commercially minded lawyer to join a high-performing team advising on complex IP, technology and commercial transactions across the life sciences and wider innovation economy. The successful candidate will work across offices and practice areas as part of a highly integrated global platform, supporting clients on strategic, high-value transactions and collaborations. The role offers exposure to cutting-edge work at the intersection of intellectual property, technology and life sciences, within a collaborative and internationally connected team.
What You'll Do
- Advise clients on a broad range of IP and technology transactions, including:
- Life sciences collaborations and licensing arrangements
- R&D agreements and strategic partnerships
- Commercial IP and technology agreements
- Outsourcing and technology development arrangements
- Complex cross-border commercial transactions involving IP assets
- Support clients across the life sciences, pharmaceutical and wider technology sectors.
- Draft, review and negotiate complex commercial and IP-driven transaction documents.
- Provide strategic advice on IP structuring, exploitation and risk management.
- Work closely with colleagues across corporate, regulatory and disputes practices on integrated mandates.
- Manage client relationships and deliver clear, practical and commercially focused advice.
- Collaborate with cross-border teams across the firm’s international offices.
- Contribute to the execution of high-value, complex global transactions.
- Support business development and client-facing initiatives.
What We're Looking For
- Approximately 2–4 years' PQE gained within a leading IP, technology transactions or commercial law practice.
- Significant experience in life sciences-related transactions is essential.
- Strong background in drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements.
- Excellent academic record.
- Strong technical understanding of IP and technology law principles.
- Ability to work effectively in cross-border, multi-disciplinary teams.
- Strong commercial awareness and client-facing skills.
- Demonstrated initiative and ability to take ownership of workstreams.
