Lead and develop a property agency division

An independent property consultancy is seeking an experienced agency professional to lead and develop its agency offering.

This is a hands‑on leadership appointment combining transaction delivery, client ownership, business development and team development. You will help shape the division’s direction while remaining directly involved in instructions. The role would suit an established Associate Director, or an experienced Associate or Senior Surveyor ready to take on broader leadership responsibility.

The role

  • Lead commercial and residential disposals, acquisitions and leasing instructions from appraisal through to completion.
  • Advise clients on pricing, marketing strategy and routes to market, including private treaty, tender and auction.
  • Oversee marketing campaigns, enquiries, viewings and negotiations.
  • Negotiate Heads of Terms and coordinate clients, solicitors and other advisers to progress transactions.
  • Develop key client relationships and generate new instructions.
  • Lead proposals, pitches and fee negotiations.
  • Help shape the agency business plan and monitor pipeline, fee forecasts and commercial performance.
  • Provide direction and mentoring to colleagues.
  • Work alongside valuation, asset-management and advisory specialists to deliver coordinated client advice.

About you

  • An established commercial agency background with a strong transaction track record.
  • Experience independently managing instructions and senior client relationships.
  • Strong negotiation, marketing and transaction-management skills.
  • Evidence of winning work and contributing to fee income.
  • The confidence to lead an agency offering without day‑to‑day technical supervision.
  • Experience supporting colleagues or coordinating teams.
  • A practical, commercially minded approach and an appetite to help grow a business.

MRICS or AssocRICS would be advantageous, but relevant experience and commercial credibility are central to the appointment.

Why consider it?

An opportunity to influence the direction of an agency division, develop your leadership responsibilities and build your profile within an independent consultancy.
