Are you looking to take the next step in your career as an Associate Director within Restructuring and Valuation? This is a newly created opportunity to join a growing, ambitious property advisory team and play a key role in delivering complex, high-profile instructions across the UK.
The Role
As an Associate Director, you will lead the delivery of a wide range of commercial and residential property projects, working closely with senior leadership and acting as a trusted advisor to clients within the restructuring and valuation marketplace.
You will be an integral part of the senior leadership team, leveraging your professional network to support sustainable growth, develop long-term client relationships, and contribute to business development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- You will take the lead on complex property and valuation matters, including:
- Working with lenders to provide independent market and rental value reports for individual assets and portfolios
- Undertaking valuations for loan security, portfolio valuations, financial reporting, acquisitions, disposals, compensation, litigation and taxation purposes
- Developing disposal strategies, including value-enhancement initiatives such as lease re-gears, capital expenditure planning and planning considerations
- Providing clear, accurate and comprehensive valuation reports for client property assets
- Supporting asset managers and investment vehicles with detailed insight into property holdings
- Conducting in-depth due diligence on distressed commercial property assets, presenting strategic restructuring and value recovery options
- Managing client enquiries, responding to queries, and preparing fee proposals and scopes of work
- Ensuring effective workflow management, time recording and job cost control in line with internal processes
- Managing timely and accurate invoicing and monitoring work in progress
- Supporting business planning and proactive business development to convert enquiries into instructions
- Building, maintaining and strengthening client relationships to drive repeat and new business
- Mentoring and coaching junior team members
- Ensuring all work is delivered in line with company processes, professional standards, legislation and accreditation requirements
- Continuously developing your technical expertise and maintaining required professional authorisations
About You
You will be a driven and commercially minded property professional with:
- MRICS qualification and RICS Registered Valuer status
- A strong track record in valuation and restructuring, with expert knowledge of real estate valuation principles
- Experience building client relationships and contributing to the growth of a professional services business
- Strong leadership, problem-solving and decision-making skills
- The ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with confidence presenting to senior stakeholders
- A highly organised, detail-oriented and autonomous working style
- Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- A full UK driving licence
